Kali on Board for Another Season

December 1, 2009

Im super excited about riding Kali Protective’s for another season (and hopefully many more to come). Kali is supporting us this year with the Prana for the pro riders and the Avatar for the juniors. We will all be riding the soft knees and sporting their gear bags at the races.

The Prana is Kali’s newest lid. This is a Dot approved helmet that is lighter then anything you have picked up.

D2 Killer

The Avatar is a MTB specific helmet with the best safety rating. It this were a car it would have 74 air bags.

The thing I love about Kali is after they design the safest helmet with the best fit and awesome attention to detail, the lightness is a byproduct.

Here is a side cutout of the Avatar.

Composite Fusion and Dual Density foam – As you can see in the photo there is no gap between the shell and the foam also check out the different color foam. Kali sprays their foam in into the shell rather then make them separate and glue them together. This means the instant your head hits the foam starts to absorb the impact. The dual density is a combination of soft and heavy foam. This allows the impact to be spread out around the whole helmet rather then concentrating in one area – Safest helmet you can put on your head.

Look for the Clan riding Kali this year and ask to check it out. You will be surprised by how amazing they are up close
